 Reviewer: Ram A hosting that can be trusted upon I have been using this hosting for more than a year and am pretty happy with it. I have never experienced any downtime or any problem with the speed. When ever my disk space is full i can request for additional diskspace and they ad it in no time. I have had a good experience with this hosting site. They have good customer support and immediate replies to my queries. Have been satisfied with this. No plans of changing my hosting as of now. Only problem is that it can not be used as a streaming server. Other than this negative there is nothing wrong in the server.  Reviewer: Kweku Hayford Jr. Exactly one year later... The first thing that attracts you to Startlogic is their affordable pricing packages. Virtual Private Servers lease for $30 per month, which is affordable for most people. They have an excellent sales team that will assist you in choosing a plan that best suites your needs. The customer support team, however, could use some improvement. The wait time during the day is relatively long, and the reps on the graveyard shift are not very knowledgeable about their systems. They recently upgraded to Vdeck 3 for their admin panel but the transition was not very smooth. There were a few glitches such as emails not coming through. They run the most current version of Plesk on their VPS, which is very user friendly. The initial setup of the account was done efficiently and within a short amount of time. They send you an email with detailed information on how to access your account. There also offer online documentation on how to manage your account. I have only experienced one downtime since the start of the lease. If you are looking for budget hosting for a small to medium web-based projects, I will certainly recommend Startlogic.
So Far So Good with Startlogic Hi,Because I have dealt with several providers for hosting, I feel I can make a fair assesment of Startlogic. I have been with them now for about 3 or 4 years, and I have 24 domains with them.
What I dislike about Startlogic: Tech support is probably one of their weakest areas. If you don't know how to look things up for yourself and if you don't know how systems run, find another provider. They can help with simple issues, but keep in mind that this tech support is truly running through the book when trying to help you. Pages load slightly slower than on other servers I have experienced, but not enough that I have had any user comments regarding this.
What I like about Startlogic: Price and ease of use are the two things I'm thankful for with Startlogic. Usually within 10 minutes I can register and set up a new website and have it available to the public. Of course if there is content to be done, this takes longer. I like their generous affiliate program, although it is not my primary reason for using them. I was with Startlogic during the transition and experienced no issues, but most of the sites are static, so I don't know if the issues have been with databases or not (from other reviews I see here I can't tell). Email has always been relieable for me and my customers, this is a big deal for me, since one of my customers is a police department, and their last provider kept bouncing legitimate emails. I've never experienced anything like that with Startlogic.
I just recently transferred one of my .gov accounts over to Startlogic, that is how confident I am in their server up time and their email servers. Hope the review helps.

 Reviewer: CP Simply the BEST of all the hosting providers I have ever used. I develop sites for clients and from this point on, I am putting all my future new clients on Startlogic-Prologic and am going to re-locate current clients to Startlogic when their current hosting expires. Try them once and you'll NEVER want to use anyone else again.
I have a fun site with this host, which requires ASP and ODBC for MS Access. This was, by far, the least expensive host that had the features and space I needed. So far, I haven’t been disappointed. Setup was prompt and without problems. I registered my domain name through a third party, so I can’t speak for how well StartLogic’s domain registration worked. They send an email with all login information and a test site URL, so that you can transfer domain names at a later time. ASP pages render quickly and correctly, and database access (once you remove the read-only flag in the file manager) is without problems. One note though - according to their site, they provide access for MySQL and MS Access - NOT MS SQL Server. If you ever think you might upgrade from Access to SQL Server, I don’t know that it can be done with this host. Their control panel is a bit confusing and some of the features are hidden in places you wouldn’t expect to find them. This could definitely be improved upon. During my one tech-support call, the support person was helpful and knowledgable, but not very professional. That is, when I gave him my URL so that he could look at my account information, and I told him the URL of the fun site I have with them, he laughed. Which is fine - the URL *is* funny - but he continued to laugh for about a minute. And from that point, I got the impression that he was talking down to me - but then, I get that impression most of the time I talk to tech support people. He WAS helpful, though, and my request, IIRC, did get resolved promptly. All in all, really good value for a web host, if you need ASP and low-level database access, but don’t need a whole lot else.
